When aliens misinterpret video footage of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they invade Earth using the very characters from those games, like Pac-Man and Space Invaders. A team of former arcade champions—Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie Plant (Peter Dinklage)—are recruited by the U.S. government to stop the extraterrestrial invasion and save the planet.
