Plot:
An accident deep within the Marianas Trench triggers a catastrophic tsunami that devastates the Hawaiian Islands and threatens the western coast of North and South America. In a desperate attempt to mitigate the disaster, scientists detonate an underwater explosion, which inadvertently amplifies the tsunami’s power, directing it toward Los Angeles. As panic spreads and evacuation efforts commence, a determined graduate student proposes a radical solution: initiate a massive earthquake to counteract the tsunami and elevate the continental shelf off the U.S. coast.
